Deer Hollow is located near the north end of Lake of the Woods Road on the east side of Mahomet.
The subdivision includes approximately 50 homes, making it a smaller neighborhood within the Mahomet community.
Most of the homes in Deer Hollow were built between the mid-2000s and the mid-2010s, giving the neighborhood a more modern feel compared to some of Mahomet’s older subdivisions.

One of the distinctive features of Deer Hollow is its naturally wooded setting, which gives the neighborhood a quiet and scenic feel.
